Review Products to Increase Affiliate Profits

Article Review

You probably know that having a website to showcase some of your affiliate products will increase your income, especially if you concentrate on one or two products. The question is: What sort of articles do you use on the site to increase affiliate profits?

Review a product

It is no good writing an article saying how brilliant the product is, because people will suspect you are selling it. In fact, the better you say it is, especially at the beginning, the more likely they are to click away.

Instead, write an article reviewing the product. Of course, to do this you need to know what the product does, or what information it includes. The best way to find out is to buy it. I urge you to review each product you buy, as you will no doubt buy quite a few guides and systems as time goes on.

If you can’t afford one more product just now, then read as many reviews as you can, and of course the sales letter, and make notes. This way you can learn quite a lot about it.

To start out, then, explain what this is about. If it is an e-book telling you to do certain things you need to mention any obvious competitors, and include some comments about them if you can. Say whether the approach is different or the same.

Start in neutral mood

It is a good idea to start off in a neutral mood, perhaps saying that the book is well presented, rather long, or packed with information, or short and to the point or whatever.

Then, you need to go through some of the main points, without actually saying what you are. You are not actually allowed to give the information in the book or video to others, and in any case you want to tempt the reader to buy it. If you say too much you could just say something to put him or her off.

Of course, if the writer talks about ‘The XYZ Trick’ and ‘The Smoothie Way’ or something, it is a good idea to mention these by name to make your review appear authentic.

Later in the article you can say what you particularly like about it, and why you think it is better than the competition.

Keep the article fairly short, and try to get the reader interested without over-selling. The thing is that if he or she likes what you read they will be sent to a sales page which will give a hard sales pitch. If you make a sales pitch too, the reader will be put off on arrival at the merchant’s site, and that is the last thing you want.
