Woman’s Day Magazine is focused on the average woman. This magazine was created for the everyday woman. It was made for the mid western mom who spends most days driving kids to school and sporting events who is always thinking about what to make for dinner that night, not the single executive who has never actually cooked anything before and whose biggest concern is how to get the new Gucci bag that is hot this season. Woman’s Day magazine may not have the latest fashions or the biggest celebrity news, but it does cover the issues that the average woman is dealing with trying to balance a career, a home and a family.
Features in the Magazine
Woman’s Day is published each month. It can be found at grocery stores, drug stores, discount stores and some department stores. The cover usually features food made from a recipe found inside that issue. The main features in the magazine include cleaning tips, health news, weight loss news, recipes and fast dinner ideas, makeup tips and budget friendly tips and articles. The pregnancies of various celebrities like Jordan and Peter, Steven Gerrard and Alex Curran were covered by this magazine in 2005. Also, the engagements of stars like Andy Scott-Lee, Liberty X singer and Michelle Heaton were announced in the magazine which had some unusual deals with it.
Every magazine has its own policies and rules to follow. Even this particular magazine has a policy of publishing only positive things about a celebrity. But when it had an interview with Britney Spears in 2007, her actions were so unreliable that the magazine had to break this policy of theirs.
It was not only Britney that the magazine had a word with, but with her mother, Lynne Spears and her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears as well. They talked about the issue regarding Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy. According to the records, this particular issue was the greatest selling copy of 2007.
Even recently, in August 2008, when Britney Spears had an interview with the magazine at her house, it was again noticed by the magazine people that her attitude has not changed and it had the same old impulsive behaviour.
